On the 30th October 1822 Elizabeth, her parents, William and "Nancy", and 4 siblings, boarded the ship "Thalia", at Gravesend, bound for Van Dieman's Land (Tasmania). They arrived in Hobart Town on 27 April 1823.
Elizabeth (Spinster, Full age, of Jericho, Oatlands) married William Giblin (Widower, Full age, Clerk to Registry of Deeds, of Hobart Town) on 28 October 1845 at the residence of William Pike, in Jericho, Oatlands, Tasmania. Witnesses were William Giblin, Thomas Giblin, E. Falconer and Caroline Pike.

Elizabeth Giblin (Widow, born England) died on 12 Feb 1890, aged 76 years, at Sandy Bay, Tasmania.

Her death was reported in The Mercury (Hobart, Tas. : 1860 - 1954), Thu 13 Feb 1890, Page 1 : Family Notices:[8]
GIBLIN. -At her residence, Wonona, Sandy Bay, Elizabeth, widow of the late William Giblin, aged 76.
She was buried at Cornelian Bay Cemetery (Plot: Independent, Section E, Number 30) on 14 Feb 1890, with her husband, William.

Robert Wilkins Giblin (17 May 1780 – 1 September 1845) married Jessy Elizabeth Dobby (25 June 1780 – 31 May 1852) lived Brisbane Street
William Giblin (2 January 1810 - 8 April 1884) married Marian Falkiner (1815 - 14 November 1840) on 23 January 1836. He married again, to Elizabeth ?? (c. 1813 - February 1890) sometime around 1845, lived at "Lenaker", Sandy Bay.
Henrietta Selina Giblin (23 April 1839 - 29 December 1906) married (Adolarius Humphrey) A. H. Boyd SM. (1827 - 23 November 1891) on 18 May 1871. Boyd was for some time Governor of Port Arthur prison. [13]
William Robert Giblin (4 November 1840 - 17 January 1887) married Emmely Jean Perkins (c. 1841 - 2 January 1926) on 5 January 1865. She was eldest daughter of John Perkins, M.H.A.; he was Premier of Tasmania in 1878, puisne judge of the Supreme Court of Tasmania. Lived at Ivy Lodge.
William Leslie Giblin (28 February 1867 - 20 July 1901) He served with US Army Medical Corps. [14]
Edith Mary Giblin (1868 - ) married Robert Hall on 17 September 1908. She wrote (unpublished) children's story The Young Explorer. [15]
