Marten Pieterse (Claesen) Wyckoff was born in 1663 in New York, New York, United States. Marten was the son of Pieter Claesz [aka Wyckoff] (1625-1694) and Grietje Cornelis Van Ness (1627-1689).[1]

Research Notes
Marriage
Bergen's Early Settlers of Kings County and genealogies that rely on Bergen as a source have him married to Femmetje Auckes [van Nuys] as a first wife,[12] but this is wrong. Femmetje Auckes [van Nuys] was not married to Marten Pietersz [Wyckoff]. Bergen lists this supposed marriage only under his account of the Wyckoffs, while under that of van Nuys "he correctly states [13] that Femmetje married Jan Stevense [van Voorhees]". In the record of this marriage, which occurred in 1680 [14], she is called "j.d.," so she could not have been previously married. In the record of Marten's real marriage in 1683 to Hannah Willems he is similarly called "j.m." [15][16]

Also noticed some mentioning in his Bio of the disproven parents of Pieter Claesz, Please note that we have been correcting things for the family now, so the supposed but now disproven and impossible (grand) parents of Pieter Claesz (Wyckoff) were removed, see here for the supposed grandparents :
Johanna Van Der Goes passed away in 1596 and supposed father Cornelis Petersson passed away in 1599, so these can't and were for sure not the parents of the previously added as father for Pieter Claesz ( Wyckoff) Claes Corneliss (van Schouwen) .
