Michel Picot was from Chartres, Orléanais (today Eure-et-Loir), France and was the son of Michel Picot and Saintine Venarde. His year of birth is considered to be prior to 1685 based on his marriage in 1705. [1][2]
Michel travelled from France to Acadie sometime prior to Nov 1705, and married Elizabeth "Isabelle" Levron (the daughter of Francois Levron and Catherine Savoye) on 3 Nov 1705 at the parish of Saint-Jean-Baptiste in Port-Royal.[1][2]
He is listed as deceased when son Michel was born in November 1711.[3]
