Biography

Bartholomew was born about 1370.

In the section on Stradset, Blomefield adds the honorific Esq. to Bartholomew and calls him lord of Framlington Picot. There is very little detail given for him in the section on Framlington-Picot, just that he was living in 1396. The sequence given in Blomefield suggests that Gregory Picot was the father of Bartholomew.

Blomefield states that Bartholomew was the first husband of Rose Pooley, the implication being that there was at least one other. Rose died in 1432 and left the manor of Stradset to their son, Thomas; so Bartholomew must have died before then.
