I've been doing genealogy for over 40 years. I have published books on the Trende, Marshall and Shaner families and I am working on a book for the Hitt family. I am a strong believer in documentation from primary sources.

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.
Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.
Thanks for having a Big Heart and taking responsibility for Orphaned Profiles. You will want to read this After Adopting Orphans as it explains the special attention adopted profiles will sometimes need from their profile managers. You may also want to go through the new member help on How to manage your Watchlist.
Thanks for updating Jacob Kemper and Sarah Whitesides' children. My research is progressing at a slower pace in recent months due to a stroke earlier this year. Until physical therapy begins helping I'm unable to write because of the inability to grip anything with my right hand. My typing speed has been slowed down also. Three eye treatments have restored about 75% of the vision in my left eye but my reading speed has slowed down because of an increased need to concentrate on focusing. Thanks for keeping up the research on our mutual families until I can pick up the pace myself. I look forward to reviewing the Kemper profiles.
Hi! Thanks for the work on Benjamin Kemper's profile - great find on the probate of his estate! I added complete citations, in case we lose the link connection, especially to the census. I have run into that before and it is not fun.
Before I approve any merges on the Martin's etc. The citation sources for Joel born in 55 being the father of Joel in 77 need to be added. Otherwise I'll need to disconnect them.
