He and his wife, who died September 28, 1931, are buried in St. John's churchyard, near Myersville, Maryland. He followed the occupation of farming. His children were: William, born July 22, 1783; Jacob, born October 31, 1784 and went west; Catherine, born February 11, 1786; John, born September 20, 1788; a child born April 21, 1791; Elizabeth, born October 13, 1793; Rachel, born November 20, 1798.
