Liborio Petranella is a Corleone native resident, the son of Nicolò Petranella and Paola Ducibella. He was born around 15 September 1742, the same year as his wife, based on her reported age at death.
Liborio marries Rosa Oliveri on 4 July 1772. Their marriage record, and Nicolo's baptismal record, gives their surnames as "Platanella" and "Liveri," respectively. Liborio's father has died by the time Liborio marries.[1]
Liborio and Rosa have at least seven children: Nicolo' (1774), Calogero (1776), Francesco (1779), Domenica (1784), Bernardo (c. 1785), Giovanna (1786), and Paola (1799).
Nicolo' is born and baptized 21 May 1774, named after his paternal grandfather. His godparents are Luca Graviano and Antonina Fratello, who is unmarried.[2]
Calogero is born and baptized 12 November 1776. His godparents are Don Salvatore Collura and Anna Maria Sparacio, wife of Ciro.[3]
Francesco is born and baptized 15 September 1779. His godparents are Maestro Cristoforo and Salvatrice Cammarata, a married couple.[4]
Domenica is born and baptized 10 October 1784. Her godparents are Maestro Simone and Giovanna Lipari, a married couple.[5]
Bernardo and Calogero's birth years are based on their reported ages at death.
Giovanna is born and baptized 30 December 1786. Her godparents are Michaele and Rosalia Listi, a married couple.[6]
Paola is born and baptized 15 March 1799. Her godparents are Biagio lo Bello and Vincenza di Nino, wife of Arcangelo.
Death of Liborio
Domenica marries Angelo Riina on 1 September 1805. Liborio has died by this time.
Bernardo marries Leonarda Cuti on 28 February 1808.
Nicolo' marries Emmanuela Vaccaro on 13 November of the same year.
Giovanna marries Clemenzo Palazzo on 29 October 1809.
Calogero marries Vincenza Gandolfo on 13 February 1814.
Death of Rosa
Rosa dies at around age 80 (b. 1746) on 16 February 1826.
Bernardo Petranella dies at age 45 (b. 1785) on 21 May 1830. He is the widower of Leonarda.
Giovanna dies at age 44 on 24 July 1831. She is the widow of Clemenzo.
Nicolo' dies, reportedly at age 70 (he is 66) on 29 August 1840, survived by his wife, Emmanuela.
Domenica dies, reportedly at age 60 (she is 58) on 13 November 1842, the widow of Angelo.
Calogero dies at age 68 on 18 July 1845, survived by his wife, Vincenza.
