Hi Again Ruth,

I sent you a check-in message ten days ago about the ANZACS Project July check in (subproject of Military and War Project). Although the message asked you about your continued involvement, I have not yet heard back from you. Do you still want to be in the project? If I do not hear from you by the same time next week, I will assume that you've moved on to other things. You are most welcome to re-join the project at any time by answering the g2g posting.

Best wishes,

Mary~ Project Coordinator, Military and War Project

Hi

On behalf of the leader of the Military and War Project, I am doing the six month check-in with Anzac members.. Have you been active in the Anzacs project in the last six months? Please note that it is a requirement for membership in the Military and War Project that you respond to these check-ins. To make bookkeeping easier, just click Reply to this message on your own page, add your reply, then Post the Reply. I look forward to hearing from you..

Many thanks,

Mary~ Project Coordinator, Military and War Project

Hi Ruth,

I need you to remove the category "Irish Roots" from your profile. It is used only on profiles managed by the Ireland Project.

Thanks, Jen Hutton, Ireland Project co-leader

Hi Ruth

The Ireland Project (previously the Irish Roots Project) has now changed its structure into Teams. We require everyone with the Ireland Badge to be a member of at least one Team or Sub-Team and our google group.

See https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Ireland for details.

The Teams are :-

1 Categories Team
2 Counties Team
3 Managed Profiles Team
4 Membership Team
5 Profile Improvement Team
6 Topics Team
7 Diaspora

Can you let me know if you’d like to stay on in the new project and which team(s) you’d like to join. Please also let me know your e-mail address so that I can get you added to the project’s Google Group or confirm you are already a member of the google group.

Many thanks,

Amy Gilpin Ireland Project Coordinator

Ruth, can you change the Irish Roots template on your profile to either Irish Native (if born there) or Irish_Clans (if of Irish descent) please? IR is being restricted to project use. Many thanks! Jason

Hi Ruth and thanks for your message on G2G.

I’ve added the Irish Roots Project badge to your profile. If you click on the badge it will take you to the full list of our wonderful members. Click on Irish Roots Project will take you to the first page of the project. I've added your good self to the member interest page. Here you can let others know which counties or names you are researching etc.

You may also be interested in our New Zealand Project

Thanks for joining the project and good luck with your research.

Hi Ruth, I am away from home and am late to see your request. I see that Terry has added you to the ANZAC project now but wanted to apologise for my inability to reply. I'm glad it all worked out :).

Thanks for the message, Ruth. You are now a full member. See if you can get the TAGS to work now (-:

Sometimes I have to refresh my screen to get the TAGS to set. Please, anything, do not hesitate to ask me to help you with them, okay ?

Thanks for joining WikiTree, and for preserving and continuing your family history. We hope you will like our collaborative genealogy community. You now have full access to all the features of WikiTree.

Having trouble starting your tree ? Start with what you know. You can begin by adding family members. Extra tips are at How to use WikiTree.

We do emphasize Sources at WikiTree as well as dates and locations as you build your family tree here. Stuck on how to do it here ? Ask at G2G. which is a community forum for genealogists.

Happy WikiTreeing...Maggie

Ruth, I noticed you plan to or already uploaded a GEDCOM. You might also want to check out our gedcom instructions

Please keep in mind that our vision is to build a collaborative tree with just one profile per person. Thank you for taking the time to go through your gedmatches at WikiTree when you upload your gedcom.

TIP: if your ancestor was born over two hundred years ago, there's a very good chance she/he already has a profile on Wikitree.

Welcome to WikiTree as a guest ~

You are not a full member of WikiTree until you read the initial email from WikiTree which has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree. Once you volunteer, one of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership.

Do you have research you’d like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big, collaborative tree? When you confirm your email address, you’ll have an opportunity to volunteer and tell us about your genealogical interests.

After you have confirmed your e-mail address, you may wish to add YOUR family branches by becoming a Volunteer. If so, please indicate your genealogy interests by filling in TAGs for surnames you want to research, like WILSON for a surname or a location, like SWEDEN. Make sure to click the "Enter Tag(s) and Volunteer" button and a Greeter will follow-up in confirming your membership.

Have a great day ! Maggie
