Biography

Frances was born in 1913. She passed away in 2008.

Frances was raised in the Norwood area of Edmonton. She graduated from the Misercordia School of Nursing in 1937, celebrating 70 years of nursing in 2007. She was a charge Nurse at the Misercordia Hospital for many years and also nursed at the University Hospital, and at the United States Army Hospital in Fort McMurray during WWll. After the war she worked for five years at the Edmonton Catholic School Board as one of the first school nurses. Following her marriage to Clarence in 1950 she took on the full time position as homemaker, and volunteer for numerous community organizations.
