Claude was born as Baby Mendoza Clemente on 13 Mar 1967 at the Far Eastern University Hospital in Manila, Philippines. He was the biological son of Felix de la Cruz Clemente and Maria del Rosario Mendoza. [1]
When Baby Mendoza Clemente was four (4) months old, he was brought into the home of Claude Perry and Mary Perry as their foster child. Mary, by this point had gone through four (4) miscarriages. [2]
On 23 June 1967, Baby Mendoza Clemente was baptized as Claude Penrod Perry II at the USN Chapel, Sangley Point, Philippines. His sponsors were Mr. and Mrs. Donald Barber. William A. Will was the pastor who performed the baptism. [3] Named after his adoptive father, Claude II was was given the suffix "II" instead of "Jr." because Claude Sr. felt that "Jr." would indicate that his son was incapable of living up to or surpassing his adoptive father's potential. [4]
Claude was formally adopted on 27 Jun 1968 by Claude and Mary Perry at the City Court of Cavite, Branch II in Cavite City, Philippines. Rianna Pilar Perry was also adopted by the Perrys during the same court proceedings. [5]
Claude became a Naturalized US Citizen 9 Dec 1970 in Miami, Florida.
Claude is the author of the anthology Surfing Through the Mind: An Anthology , published in 2016, and coauthor of The Paths of Destiny, published in 2018.

Just added you to additional Perry & Crenshaw "trusted list". Hope that was not a duplicate, but I don't think I actually sent it before. Hope you enjoy your genealogy venture as much as I do. Joyce ~~~~

You are now a confirmed member, and you can get started adding your family members. As we've said, WikiTree is quite different from other genealogy sites. So, we've put together a guided tour to help you learn how to use it. Your first stop is How to Start Climbing Our Tree.
Tomorrow, you'll hear from a Mentor who will check in to see how you're doing and answer any questions you might have.
Next week, you'll get another message with your next stop on the guided tour.
You can also meet some of our members by joining in the fun with our Question of the Week in the G2G forum: Have you discovered any real characters in your branches?
Welcome!

The email we just sent has helpful links to get you started. WikiTree is different than other genealogy websites because our goal is to have one profile per person. That means we share ancestors and work together as a BIG collaborative team!
What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have any research youd like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree? If so, when you confirm your email address, youll see a volunteer option on your profile page. Use the Tags and comments to tell us about your genealogical interests.
When you volunteer, one of our Greeters will confirm your membership. Then you'll be able to add your family to the tree!
