Biography
1879 BIRTH
Esther L. Perrin, the fifth of nine children, was born in a log cabin 18 April 1879 in Floyd Township, Floyd County, Iowa to Floyd County pioneers Hershel Perrin and Elizabeth Lone. [1][2][3]

The children walked 1-1/2 miles to the “Floyd District #10”" one room school house located on property the District had purchased from their uncle Marshall in 1879. All the Perrin cousins and other neighborhood children went there through the eighth grade; a few went on to high school in Floyd.
