On January 21 last, Mrs. Ada May Jones died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Phillips, of 238 Talford Street. She was bornin Rockhampton 83 years ago. She married Mr. Sam Cadman Jones at Mt Morgan and lived there for many years. They then went on to Howard, Childers, Mt. Larcom, Gladstone, Calliope and Maryborough. She was the youngest and last remaining member of the Perrier family. Her father, the late David Perrier, was an officer in the Customs office, Rockhampton, many years ago. Her brothers, William and George Perrier, were well known in the West. William managed Mt. Marlo station for many years, and George was manager of Vergemont station for a considerable period. Mrs. Jones's husband predeceased her 16 years ago in Maryborough. One son died at Calliope in 1921. There are four remaining sons and three daughters: Clifford, of Rockhampton ; Samuel, of Brisbane; Roy, of Gladstone; Rex, of Bowen; Mrs. Fyles and Mrs. Phillips, of Rockhampton and Mrs. Armour, of Calliope. The funeral moved from St. Paul's Cathedral. Canon Dale conducted the funeral service.
