Marriage Notice - Cork Examiner April 20, 1868
PERRIER - CLARKE. On the 16th inst. at Aglish Church, by the Rev Thomas Grey Clarke, Vicar of Oldham. Hants, and cousin of the bride, assited by the Rev. W. Colburn, Rector of Aglish, William Lumley, only son of William L. Perrier, Ballinure House, Esq., to Maria Frances, daughter of Wm. Clarke, of Farren House, Esq.
Early risers were startled by the reports heard everywhere in the city that Mr. William Lumley Perrier, one of the directors of the bank, had died suddenly during the night. Later on it transpired that it was Mr. Wm. L. Perrier Jun. who had died, and there is just cause for believing that his demise was precipitated by the intelligence of the downfall of the bank, in which he as well as his father, was a large shareholder.
