John William Perrie was born about 1806 in Tonbridge, Kent, England.

John William Perrie married Sarah Allingham on 9 Mar 1829 in Tonbridge.^[1]

John and Sarah had twelve children: William Perrie (1829-), Maria Perrie (1830-), Ann Perrie (1832-), Caroline Perrie (1834-), James William Perrie (1836-), Henry Perrie (1838-1911), Sarah Jane (Perrie) Gilding (1840-1889), George Perrie (1841-), Mary Ann Perrie (1843-), John Perrie (1846-1928), Thomas Perrie (1848-), and Alfred Perrie (1851-1913).

In 1841 John Perry (age 30-34) lived at High Street Lock's Yard in Sevenoaks with his wife Sarah (30-34) and six children: Mary (10), Ann (8), Caroline (6), James (4), Henry (2), and Sarah (1).^[2]

In 1851 John Perry (age 45, Ostler) lived at High Street Sevenoaks in Sevenoaks with his wife Sarah (45) and eight children: Caroline (16), Henry (13, Ostler's Boy), Sarah (11, Scholar), George (9, Scholar), Mary A (7, Scholar), John (5, Scholar), Thomas (2), and Alfred (0).^[3]

In 1861 John Perrie (age 55, Ostler) lived at High Street in Sevenoaks with his wife Sarah (55) and five children: Henry (23, Ostler), Mary Ann (17), John (14, Scholar), Thomas (12, Scholar), and Alfred (10, Scholar).^[4]

John's wife passed away in 1868.

In 1871 John Perrie (age 63, Labourer) lived in Sevenoaks with two of his sons: Henry (32, Plumber) and Alfred (21, Groom).^[5]

In 1881 John W Perrie (age 75, General Labourer) lived at Lock Yard in Sevenoaks.^[6]

John Perrie passed away in 1886, aged 79 years.^[7] He was buried in Sevenoaks on 25 Jan 1886.^[8]
