Our dear brother, son, and uncle, Kelvin Steve Penner, was born on April 17, 1969, at Ste. Anne, Manitoba, to Edwin G. and Annette Penner. He died in a tractor accident on June 13, 1985, reaching the age of 16 years, 1 month, and 27 days. Kelvin came to brighten our home one year and eight months before his daddy died and was that extra cheer we so often needed. Life held lots of trials, but often that would turn his attention to older people, trying to give them a word of cheer. The last weeks he was especially helpful and considerate, and the last week was extra nice. But he left without a single good-bye.
We commit him to a loving Heavenly Father who does all things well. He leaves to mourn his passing: his mother, six brothers and seven sisters: Charles and Remelda, Saltcoats, Saskatchewan; Brian and Stella, Rene and Eileen, Sidney, Chester and Cheryl, Stanley and Sue, all of Linden, Alberta; Neta and Nora of Winnipeg, Manitoba; John and Yolonda Fast, of Lloydminster, Alberta, Judith, Lucille, Faye, and Doris of the home; twelve nephews and nieces, plus many relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at the Greenland Church, Ste. Anne, Manitoba, on June 16, 1985, with the home ministers in charge. Burial was in the adjoining church cemetery.
