Elizabeth Pelham married John Humphrey, Esq. of Dorset as his second wife on 4 September 1621 at St. Thomas, Salisbury, Wiltshire.[1][5][6][7]
Three children were born to Elizabeth Pelham and John Humphrey at Fordington, Dorset:
John Humphrey[1] was baptised 11 August 1622 at St. George's Church, Fordington, Dorset.[5][8] He immigrated to New England with his father and joined the Artillery Company in 1641.[9] He was named administrator of his father's estate on 4 June 1653.
Elizabeth Humphrey[1] was baptised on 23 November 1623 at St. George's Church, Fordington, Dorset.[5][8]
Elizabeth died 1 November 1628.[1][5] Her place of death and burial are not known.
John Humphrey survived her and married a third time to Susan Fiennes, daughter of Thomas Fiennes, Earl of Lincoln (both also known by the last name Clinton). He had 6 more children with Susan.[1][5]
Research Notes
Daughter Anne
According to a book on Walworth family history, some sources mistakenly show Elizabeth's daughter Anne as daughter of John Humphrey's third wife Susan Clinton.[10]
