You postponed the merge of Peckham-542 and Peckham-215 because there was no DOB for Peckham-215. I do not think that is a good idea.
The way Wikitree works is that the process of merging the two profiles will transfer any missing data (such as DOB) to the new merged profile. This way, the profile benefits from the data inputs to both profiles, it is not necessary to enter the same data twice.
Congratulations ! You have now been a WikiTree member for awhile now! Here are some further ideas to help you make the most of our site.

Welcome to WikiTree you're a full member now.
To get you started there's a great video<a hrefhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?vTuZXI6rGGb8> Adding and Editing Profiles Video</a>
You can find answers<a hrefhttp://http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:WikiTree_Help>Help Index</a> or ask questions<a hrefhttp://www.wikitree.com/g2g/>G2G Q&A</a>.
Please check for duplicate profiles before adding new profiles. Sources are extremely important. Estimate if you aren't sure. Especially with birth or death dates. By doing so, your searches
will be more productive by providing more opportunities to grow more branches to your family tree.
Please contact me if you need ANY assistance.
Thanks for volunteering!!
Whoever said "Seek and ye shall find" was NOT a genealogist
Genealogy has been a passion of mine for the past 13 years. Like other genies I have spent many hours researching online, visiting libraries, courthouses and cemeteries. I have been making an annual pilgrimage to the Family History Library in Salt Lake City. We can all benefit if we work together on our family trees.
I am the great granddaughter of Irena Peckham Lane and I have been trying to figure out where she got the name Peckham. Irena was the daughter of William lane b: 1807 and Lucinda Barrett b:1811. The strange part is I am finding Peckham's connected to several other parts of my ancestry including Downing, Gorbett and Lane.
Thanks for stopping by our site. Lots of great things are happening on WikiTree. We're growing a worldwide collaborative tree with new growth everyday.
