Wilma died on 13 Oct 1998 in Brookville, Jefferson, Pennsylvania, United States, aged 70.[1] She was buried in Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery, Frostburg, Pennsylvania.
Her known son was Kenneth Lee Smith (1960–2007).
Wilma Grace Smith, 70 of Brookville R. D. 4, died Tuesday, October 13, 1998, at home. Mrs. Smith was born September 15 1928 in Plumville, the daughter of Edward and Alice E. Downey Pearce. She was married to Bernard Eugene Smith. A former resident of the Grange area, Mrs. Smith had attended the Grange Church of God. Surviving relatives include her husband, Bernard Eugene Smith; three daughters: Mrs. Robert E.(Barbara) Steele of Punxsutawney R. D. 5, Mrs. Steve (Norma Jean) Demko of Brookville R. D. 5, and Mrs. Mark (Kathy) Ruth of Punxsutawney R. D. 4; one son Kenneth Lee Smith of Brookville R. D. 5; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; seven brothers; John Pearce of Hartville, Ohio; Edward A. Pearce of Waukegan, Illinois; David Pearce of Philipsburg; Norman Pearce of Luthersburg; Harold Keith Pearce of Tyrone; Donald Pearce of Nashua, New hampshire; and Clayton Pearce of Punxsutawney; one step-sister, Norma Smith of Carteret, New Jersey; and two step-brothers: Harvey Cassidy of Rossiter and James "Gene" Cassidy of Ebensburg. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Patricia Pendleton. Funeral services will be held at the Wayne W. Pifer Funeral Home of Punxsutawney. The Rev. Johnnie Pennington will officiate. Interment will be at the Hopewell Cemetery, Frostburg.[2]
