Frederic George Turner "Fred" Paul was born on the 24th July 1920, in his Grandfather's medical clinic at Kangaroo Point, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, to Turner and Trixie Paul née Perman.^[1][2]
Christening
Fred was christened on the 28th October 1920 at St Mary the Virgin Church of England, Kangaroo Point, Brisbane, Queensland.^[3] The signature on the certificate looks to be "H. Gradwell", which would make him the 7th Rector of the church/parish, J Harry Gradwell, who served from 1912-1922.^[4] (St Mary's, often called now St Mary's-on-the-Cliffs, has a long and distinguished history in Brisbane, now being on the Register of the National Estate and also on the Queensland Heritage Register.
