Biography

David (Pasternak) Pastern has Jewish Roots.

David Pasternak was born in 1911 in Chicago, Illinois. He later used the surname Pastern.

On 5 January 1920, David Pasternak lived in the Jewish Orphan's Home in Chicago. His brother Alvin was also in the home.^[1]

On 15 April 1930, David lived with his sister Rae A. Myers, her husband Maurice L. Myers, and Maurice's mother Sophie at 4925 N. Whipple in Chicago. David worked as a commercial salesman for advertising novelties.^[2]

In the 1940 census David (age 28), Salesman, was the married head of household renting a home at 3337 W Belle Plaine Ave, in the Irving Park neighborhood of Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.^[3] David registered for the draft on 16 October 1940 in Chicago. Their phone number was Juniper 2254. David worked for Western Distributors Inc. at 5620 North Western Avenue in the Arcadia Terrace neighborhood of Chicago.^[4]

David enlisted in the US military on 3 Jan 1944. He was discharged on 5 March 1946.^[5]

In the 1950 census David (age 38) was the married head of household at 2703 Estes Avenue Apartment 2 in Chicago, and owned a business.^[6] Frances died in 1954.

David married Sally Rosen on 24 January 1957 in Cook County, Illinois.^[7] In 1983, David was a sales manager for the Citywide Carpet Company in Chicago.

David died (age 71) on Sunday, 3 April 1983, while vacationing in Miami, Florida.^[8][9][10]
