Biography

Nancy (Parish) Cary was born about 1819 in Tompkins County, New York, United States, daughter of Knowlton Parish (1771–1861) and Martha (Unknown) Parish (1777–1874).^[1]

Her siblings were:

Nancy died on 9 Mar 1888 in Avon, Livingston County, New York, aged about 68. She was buried in Hemlock Lake Cemetery, Hemlock, Livingston County, New York.^[1]

Nancy married Edward Nelson Cary (born in Mar 1818 in Livonia, Livingston, New York; son of James Cary and Mercy (Weaver) Cary). Their known children were:

Obituary

Nancy was born about 1819. She passed away in 1888. The Gazette Livonia, Livingston County, New York. Friday, March 25, 1910 A house at the foot of Hemlock lake, owned by Mrs. Nancy Cary, burned yesterday forenoon. Only about half of Mrs. Cary's goods were saved. We have not learned the amount of the insurance, if any. The house was one of the landmarks of Hemlock, and was once used as a store.
