Jean Baptiste Parent was born and baptized on 14 October 1775, in Sainte-Marie, Beauce, Quebec. He is a son of Nicolas-Louis Parent & Marie-Geneviève Samson. When Jean Baptiste Parent was born, his father, Nicolas Louis Parent, was 38 and his mother, Marie Geneviève Samson, was 33. [1]
Jean Baptiste married Catherine Drouin on 24 July 1804, in Sainte-Marie parish in Beauce, Quebec. [2] They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 12 daughters.
About 1815, Jean and Catherine moved their family from Sainte-Marie-de-Beauce to

He lived in Madawaska, Aroostook, Maine, United States in 1825 and Madawaska, Madawaska, New Brunswick in 1830. He died on 7 September 1850, in Van Buren, Aroostook, Maine, United States, at the age of 74, and was buried in Saint Bruno Saint Remi Cemetery, Van Buren, Aroostook, Maine, United States. [17]
