Martha "Patsy" Palmer was born about 1750, likely in Virginia.
Martha married George Sinclair in Loudoun County, Virginia on 19 January 1775 by Rev. David Griffith, Episcopal minister (Virginia State Archives Accession #23609). Rev. David Griffith was the minister for Shelbourn Parish.
By 1782, Martha and George had migrated to Bedford County, Virginia.
George and Martha migrated to Highland County, Ohio in about 1803, where land records show the purchase of land. The Quaker records for the Clear Creek Monthly Meeting, Clinton County, Ohio, contain the following entry: "SINCLAIR, 1819, 6, 12. Geo. & w, Martha, rocf [received on certificate from] Fairfield [Highland County, Ohio] MM, dtd 1819,5,29." George and Martha, then, moved from Highland County to Clinton County in 1819.
She passed away after 1829.

Research Notes
Martha's parentage is uncertain. Jean Grigsby tentatively listed Haden Palmer as her father. Others have suggested John and Martha Palmer of Pennsylvania and Bedford County, Virginia as her parents. Parmenas Palmer and Mary Ann Draper have also been suggested as a possible candidates as Martha's parents. They did have a daughter named Martha, but she married a man named John McMillion.
Ruth, wife of Robert St. Clair and David Palmer, both closely associated with the Sinclairs, are thought to have been Martha's siblings.
