Biography
Elizabeth Padgett, daughter of William B. Padgett and Sarah (Byars) Padgett, was born about 1846 in North Carolina. She appeared on the census of 7 September 1850 in the home of her father at Sandy Run, Rutherford County, North Carolina.[1]
She married Esley A. Shitle, also Shytle, son of Philip Shitle and Elizabeth (Speegle) Shitle, on 26 February 1866 at Rutherford County, North Carolina.[2]
She and Esley appeared on the census of 10 June 1880 at Fairview, Buncombe County, North Carolina.[3]
Elizabeth seems to have died before 1900 probably in North Carolina as Esley is a widower in the 1900 census.
