Alfred was born in 1840. He appears as a Carpenter in the Royal Engineers on Saint Helena[1] in 1866, when he married Harriet Young.
3 Apr 1866 - Carpenter in the Royal Engineers, Bachelor Alfred Pack of Ladder Hill, married Spinster Harriet Maria Young of Sane Valley, at St Matthew's.
