Biography

Judah was born on December 21, 1896 in Petrovichi in the Soviet Union. ^[1] He was a Russian Jew, and even served in the Russian army during World War 1 prior to immigrating to the United States. It appears he immigrated to the United States around 1923 with his wife and two young children, settling in New York City. He worked a number of odd jobs before earning enough to open a Sweet Shop. He taught himself English and was apparently a very intelligent man, even though he was not necessarily provided with any higher education. It appears that he may have strayed a bit from the Jewish Orthodox faith in his middle years, as some records appear to note that he returned to his Orthodox faith in his latter years.

It appears he retired to Florida in the Miami Beach area and passed away there in 1969 at the age of 72.
