I was on WikiTree for a lot of years; I changed my email address and couldn't get back in; I think my old # was 1177.

Hi David, please email info-at-wikitree.com replacing the -at- with the symbol and explain to them that you had a previous account, and give them both Wiki IDs. They will need this one and Osborn-1177 if that is the duplicate. They will be able to help you. - Regards, Laura ~WikiTree Greeter

Hello. You are the manager of Stanley-2952 which has not been updated since 2013. No information in the profile allows us to know which Abel Stanley this is intended to be. Do you intend to work on this profile, or would you rather orphan it so it could be recycled into a different Abel Stanley?

Hello, David,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, coordinating with others is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

Based on your ancestry, the United States Project may fit your research focus. If not, use the Pre-1700 Projects list to review other possibilities. Read the goals and tasks of the projects and join those which are a good fit.

Have questions? Ask in the comments section of my profile.

The LNAB, last name at birth) in the data. Change Osborn to Way which is the same for the current name since he is a male. Paul, his brother needs to be changed like this also. The profiles come up with the last name at birth so they will come up with their mother's maiden name and cause duplicates. OK and Thanks

Sharon

??? what should be changed?

David,

Please change the Last Name at Birth for the Osborne family you are PM of to Osborn so we can get one branch and not two of the same family. He is the son of Mathew Jr Osborn-5456 Jr and Isabella Dobson-262.

Working to get family as one branch. Thanks Sharon

David, LNAB is Last Name at Birth

Welcome! We are glad you are here!  Please let Kitty Smith know if you are interested in joining our DNA Project or our FTDNA Project.

If you have not done so, set your Followed preferences to include DNA.

It's not hard to add DNA test information to profiles on WikiTree, just make sure you add the tests to the actual test participant's profile & set the Privacy to ‘private w/ public biography & family tree’ to show the tester's part of our tree. For help see  How to DNA on WikiTree

We also encourage you to join our Google+ Community for DNA discussions, questions & new information.

I see you are working on merges, you may want to review Matching and Merging FAQ to understand your responsibilities in doing merges.

Remember, after the merge you will want to clean up the text. During a merge, the text from the merged-away profile is simply appended onto the end of the text of the merged-into profile. You will want to integrate it into a single biography and a single sources section.

You will also want to review all other family members for potential duplicates and review any conflicts in parents. If you have any questions, just let me know.
