After George's wife Esther died in 1904 in New York, he married secondly Margaret Watson, widow of James Hanna, in 1907 in New York.
In 1910 George was age 52 and living with his second wife Margaret, his youngest daughter May, and Margaret's children Ethel and Hamilton.[7]
In 1915 he was age 57 and living with his wife and her two children in Avon, Livingston, New York.[8]
In 1920 he was age 61 and living with his wife Margaret and her two children in Avon, Livingston, New York.[9]
He died on 31 Jul 1923 in Avon, Livingston, New York, and was buried in the South Avon Cemetery there. [10]
