I was both given a lot of family history and also kept in the dark. Grandma Joy Elizabeth Smith-Oostendorp encouraged my fascination with history in general as well as family history. She told me a lot about her side but grandpa Herman Elco Oostendorp's side was practically unknown except what I have managed to put together so far myself. Grandma Linda Paxton-Schryer as well as Grandpa Gerald Schryer's sides of the family are almost entirely a mystery. Any information on my family history is deeply appreciated
