Biography

Giuseppe Oliveri is born and baptized Josephum on 25 July 1878. He is the son of Giovanni Oliveri and Maria Morello. His godparents are Leoluca Sparacio and Archangela, his sister.^[1] (The same as the godparents of Francesca Paola Grizzaffi, daughter of Teodoro Grizzaffi and Francesca Paola Spinella, baptized earlier the same month.)

At least 65 people from Corleone migrate together to Louisiana in 1894. The following names appear in series on the manifest of the Kronprinz Friedrich Wilhelm, sailing from Palermo via Naples and arriving on 17 October 1894 in Ellis Island. All passengers are going to New Orleans.
