Hi Thomas. I'm also an O'Connor. There is indeed a Mayflower connection. It is through a MATERNAL line; Anna Louise Arthur (1890-1960) who married Joseph Lawrence O'Connor (1883-1956). Anna "Lulu" was my grandmother. Her father was Minor Adelbert Arthur (1864-1922). His father was Dwight; Dwight's father Elisha; Elisha's father Richard who married Hannah BRADFORD (1751-1831). Her father was Abner Bradford; Abner's father was Israel; Israel's father was Major William Bradford and his father was Governor William Bradford -- Governor of Plimoth Plantation. There is also a Mayflower connection to John Alden & Pricilla Mullins through Israel's wife, Sarah Bartlet's maternal line. There is a third Mayflower connection to Francis Cooke and Hester Mahieu through Abner Bradford's wife, Susannah Porter. There are so many generations and connections, I haven't had time to enter it all in Wiki. So hello cousin! I'm still actively trying to research the O'Connor line. (I think) I know the ship they came to NY on but I can't find them in Ireland -- too many Patrick O'Connors. They settled in Wisconsin.

Thanks Annice, one of my Aunts researched a connection back to the Alden's which traced back through My Father's mother. I have been attempting to verify that line. My Great grandfather Patrick J. O'Connor was born in Pennsylvania in 1871, his father, my Great Great Grandfather Thomas J. O'Connor, I believe was born circa 1840 in Ireland and immigrated when he was about 4 years old. He married an Ellen Power who also immigrated at an early age from Ireland. There is still a lot of confusion with the O'Connor side because as with Patricks, there are a lot of Tom's as well. My Paternal Great Grandmother, Alice Donahue, was in fact from Ireland and I have stood outside the old family home in a town called Croom, Ireland in the county of Limerick. Most of the O'Connor's I have found settled on the East Coast, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvannia but some of their descendents could have easly moved west. My late Great Uncle Patrick ended up in Marshall, Texas.
