Biography

Arthur was born Waterford, County Waterford and baptised there on 21 March 1841.^[1] He is the son of William O'Neill and Anne Dorney.

He was recorded in the 1851 Census at 11 London Street, Fitzroy Square with his parents.^[2]

By the time of the 1861 Census, Arthur was living at 36 London Street, with his parents. He was working as a pianoforte maker.^[3]

He married Fanny Mills in Saint Pancras district on 8 February 1873.^[4]

They may have had a daughter, Amy Florence, in 1875 (although this assumes his wife's surname was misrecorded as Miller).^[5]

Probate documents for Arthur described him as late of 26 London Street, Fitzroy Square, a licensed victualler and a widower and that he died at home. Probate was granted to George Martin, a creditor.^[6]
