Biography
Phelim 'Dubh' O'Neill was the son of Shane Mac Brian O'Neill and Anne O'Neill. [1]
He married Shelagh O'Hara, daughter of Cathal O'Hara of Crebilly.
He died in June 1676.
He gained the rank of Captain in the King Charles II army. He also had four daughters.
A member of the Irish Rebellion of 1641 along with Rory O'More, Donough MacCarty, Connor Maguire, William St Leger, grandson of Anthony St. Leger[2], James Butler, Charles Coote, Robert Monro, and others.
