Mary Ellen O'Neil was born on December 1, 1883 in Sandwich East Township, Essex, Ontario, Canada, daughter of Alexander O'Neil (1843–1919) and Barbara Vollans (1847–1922).[1]
In 1901, Mary (17) Oneal was in the household of Alex Oneal in Essex (north/nord), Ontario. [2]
Mamie died on October 19, 1967 in Windsor, Essex, aged 83. She was buried in Saint Stephen's Anglican Church Cemetery, Oldcastle, Essex County, Ontario.[4]
Obituary
Mrs. Mamie O'Neil, aged 83. widow of Justus O'Neil passed away in Grace Hospital, Wednesday following a brief illness. Deceased was a lifelong resident of Sandwich South and a member of St. Stephen's Church. She is survived by a brother Elmar of South Talbot Road and a son, Frederick, several nieces and nephews to all of whom we extend our deepest sympathy. Funeral services were held Saturday at 3 p.m. in St. Stephen's Church with Rev. E. C. Grey officiating. Interment was in St. Stephen's cemetery.
