Karen Solveig Nygård (1917 - 1998) i Udnes sogn Nes, hun var datter av Karl Andersen Nygård i Udnes Sogn, Nes (Romerike), Akershus og Birgit Syversdatter Sollien fra Torpo Ål (Hallingdal), Buskerud. Karen var tvillingsøster med Borghild Marie Nygård (gift Hovind) , og hadde en bror Sigurd Nygård (1915 - ), de var alle tre utdannet agronomer fra Hvam landbruksskole i Nes. Karen ble gift med Odd Nilsen fra Årnes (1916 - 1979)
