Clara D. (Nute) Pinkham was born on 25 December 1837 in Sinnett. Daughter of Greenleaf Nute (1805–1822) and Susan Brock (1809–1877). Her parents married on 3 January 1830 in Dover, Strafford, New Hampshire, United States.
