I'm primarily trying to search my Portuguese roots on my father's side, hitting roadblocks after my grandmother's parents and the Carvalho and de Natal surnames. Though I've discovered Portuguese naming practices are flexible as far as choosing surnames from ancestors and ordering them. Also the naming laws restricting to the list of first names making the search harder. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
