My paternal grandfather was sent to an 'Industrial Children's Home' in Chicago when he was young, with his older brother. His father passed and mother was too ill to care for them. He never spoke about his family, until he was dying and my grandmother found that brother. Spoke to his widow. Grandfather joined early and made a good career with the military. They raised 5 children. I will be looking more into the Noyes family from Ohio.
My paternal grandmother's mother was married to Jesse Burget and he passed when she was 3. Grandmother was raised by her stepfather, RH Rich. She grew up the eldest of other children.
Jesse was the son of Andrew Jackson 'AJ' and Sarah Jane Jennings Burget. I am looking for Andrew's line and Sarah's mother. Sarah Jane was the first born to Hilliard Jennings and his first wife. They had 3 children together, though I cannot find much information. Until recently, most records state that Nancy Hendrix was his wife, and she was, just his second. This is the site I read the book passage: https://books.google.com/books?newbks=0&output=html_text&id=ArJRAAAAMAAJ&focus=searchwithinvolume&q=Hilliard
