Biography

Johann Conrad Nolte, son of Berendt Nolte and Ilsabein Knuppel was baptized 28 Apr 1696 at the Catholic church of Beverungen so was probably born mid-April.[1] Some of his records list him as just "Conrad" and some as "Johann Conrad" but no other Conrad was found baptized anywhere near this time in Beverungen so all such records are assumed to belong to this man.

He married Anna Maria Catharina Nolte in the same church on 3 May 1733; their marriage record includes a note that they were 3rd cousins and were given a dispensation to marry despite the relationship. This means they shared a great-great grandparent; unfortunately the lineage of her father Johann Wilhelm has not been discovered yet.[2]

These children were found for this couple in the Beverungen baptismal records:

  1. Adam Nolte 1746–1798
  2. Johann Liborius Nolte 1749– m. Maria Agatha Loog about 1774, had son Joseph Francis Nolte b.1779, baptized Beverungen.

Johann Conrad died before his wife; she was listed as a widow when she witnessed the baptism of her grand-daughter Maria Anna Catharina Nolte in Beverungen on 27 Feb 1770.[3] A search for a death record for Johann Conrad has not yet been performed.
