Phillip- not sure how you have been able to thank me so many times - but greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much for adding to Barzilla Cadwell (1821-1905). This family set is a remnant from my gedcom upload years ago and not part of my direct ancestry so I won't be doing any work on them. I'd be glad to transfer the management to you. Please let me know.

Hi Philip,

Thanks for taking responsibility for the Orphaned Profiles. This After Adopting Orphans FAQ explains the special attention adopted profiles will sometimes need from their profile managers. One quick way to find the profiles you adopted is by searching your Contributions List for the word "adopted" and "manager." You can find a quick link to your Contributions List in the My WikiTree dropdown menu.

If any of the profiles need GEDCOM cleanup, there is a tool that can help with the formatting so you can concentrate on the genealogy. You can read more about it in the WikiTree AGC FAQ.

You might be interested in some of the tips and tricks that we have included in the How-Tos that we share with new members these days. They were created long after you became a member so you never received them.

If you have any questions about how WikiTree works, let me know by using the "reply" link for this comment or by clicking my name to visit my profile. From there you can leave a comment or send a private message.

Hello Philip,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz! Pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, thus coordinating with others is essential.

To find a project that may fit your research interests and provide opportunities to collaborate and contribute to our global tree, please use the Pre-1700 Projects list.

Please refer to the new recommended sources for citing Pre-1700’s sources. when working on profiles of that time period.

For questions, just ask.

Hi!

Our vision is to build a collaborative tree with one profile per person. The farther back you go, it's likely you will find duplicate profiles to link into, so it's a good idea to do a search before you create a new profile.

Do you have Royal Ancestors? If so, they are already here! Please contact the EuroAristo Project to discuss connecting your family line to their already existing profiles.

WikiTree strives to be a fun, collaborative, productive site. It's also different than what many people are used to. Please take advantage of the Help Menu in the upper right hand corner, our G2G Forum and of course, our Mentors :)

Do you have any questions I can help with?

Eowyn ~ Mentor/Team Member

I see where you have uploaded your DNA for comparison. Did you know we have a project for DNA where a lot of great new things are happening? If you are interested and would like to check it out, go to the FIND link top right of your profile page, select PROJECTS from the drop down box, and then select the link for the DNA project. It has information listed that might be of interest to you, and feel free to contact any of the members if you would like additional details

Welcome to our community, Philip. I'm sure you will be able to add valuable information. :)

Our Honor Code, G2G message forum, help pages, search features, and many other useful links can be accessed from the menus on the upper right corner of most pages.

VERY IMPORTANT: The more documents, sources, dates, and locations you provide on the profiles you create, the stronger your branches and our mutual global tree will be. If you don't know the correct date, please estimate using before or after.

Thank you for helping in our mission to build a global tree with only ONE profile per person.

Hope you enjoy WikiTree!
