Henry W. Nisbet. former assistant District Attorney of San Bernardino county, died suddenly yesterday at White Memorial Hospital. He was 66 years of age, and resided at 1226 Lomitas Drive. He had been a resident of Loa Angeles more than twenty years. Nisbet was well known in the legal profession in this State. His grand uncle was at one time a member of the Supreme Court of Georgia, and other members of his family were leaders in the legal fraternity in that State for many years. He leaves his widow, Mrs. Nellie Cull Nisbet; a daughter, Mrs. Madoline Tessada of Venice, and a son, Henry W. Nisbet, Jr., of Phoenix. Funeral arrangement will be completed today by Pierce Brothers. Edwin A. Nisbet, a native of San Bernardino and descendant of early pioneers, died Sunday at Phoenix. where he had resided in recent years. He was born March 11, 1873, at the Nisbet family home, which stood at the corner of Fifth and E streets. Surviving are his widow, a son and a daughter, three brothers and three sisters, all of whom were born and reared in San Bernardino. Mr. Nisbet was the son of Edwin A. and Henrietta Waters Nisbet, who came to California in 1867. The mother was a sister; of Attorney Byron Waters and the father was one of the proprietors of an early newspaper published in San Bernardino county. The San Bernardino County Sun 30 Mar 1949
