Biography

Jean Baptiste Nault was the son of Paul Nault and Esther St-Godard.

Édesse Girouard, minor daughter of Jean Baptiste Girouard and of Rosalie Ledoux, of St-Ours, married Jean Baptiste Naud, son of Paul Naud and of Esther Godard, also of St-Ours, on 26 January 1836 in St-Ours.^[1]

11 known children to the couple (before 1862), 3 known to die young and 8 to marry.^[2]

Édesse and her husband are both listed as living in St-Marcel-de-Richelieu on the last marriage of their children on 11 August 1891 in St-Marcel-de-Richelieu (marriage of daughter Marie to Adolphe Picard).^[3] Jean Baptiste Nault is listed as rentier (pensioner) on the record, and cited present.
