Biography

Johannes Andreas was born about 1889. He is the son of Johannes Andreas Naude and Maria Sophia van der Watt. On 24/4/1901 Andreas, his mother and siblings entered the Winburg Refugee Camp. The family lost two of their younger siblings in the camp and their father who was killed whilst fighting in the war. The remainder of the family returned to their farm Maartevreden in the Winburg district on 15/7/1902. He was farming atSteynsrust in Winburg district when he married in 1919. He died in hospital in Winburg in 1967 but usually still lived at Maar-te-Vrede. ^[1]
