Caleb Musgrave was born about 1728 in New Garden, Chester, Province of Pennsylvania.

Caleb (31) married Elizabeth Cox (22) (born about March 2, 1737 in Fallowfield, Chester, Pennsylvania; daughter of Thomas Cox and Sarah (Buzby) Cox) in 1760 in Wayne, North Carolina. Their daughter was Sarah Celia Musgrave (1770–1818).

Caleb died on October 13, 1800 in Wayne County, North Carolina, United States, aged about 71.
