Thomas Edward Elibank Murray was born 31 July 1908[1]. He was the Second son of Captain Edward Murray and Hilda Paul.
He was educated at St. Edward's School, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.
He married Hester Doreen Bentley (the daughter of Captain C. A. C. Bentley) on 20 May 1932 in Chelsea, London[2].
He was the Rector at Holy Trinity Church, Monifieth, Angus, Scotland.
In the 1939 England and Wales Register, Thomas E E Murray (aged 31) was recorded living with his wife Hester Doreen Murray (27) at Molstyn, Greston Lane, Guildford, Surrey, England.
Occupation: Insurance (Life) Chief Clerk
He fought in the Second World War, gaining the rank of Captain in the service of the Gordon Highlanders.
Tragically his wife Hester and his parents Edward and Hilda were all killed in a bombing which happened at the Hotel Regina in Bennett Street, Bath, Somerset on 27 April 1942.
He passed away on 27 May 1979 at age 70.
