Geneva Eldora Murphy was born on August 9, 1924 in Burwell, Garfield, Nebraska, Unites States, daughter of James Vinson Murphy (1894–1967) and Constance Mildred Benjamin (1895–1972).
During 1930 census Geneva was age 5, living with her parents in Rockford Township, Garfield, Nebraska, United States.[1] In 1940 the census had Geneva (age 15) in Willow Springs Election Precinct, Garfield, Nebraska, United States.[2]

Geneva and Emery Tetschner eloped, the snuck off from Twin Falls, Twin Falls, Idaho, Emery leaving a note to his father, and on 22 May 1942 got married in Rawlins, Carbon, Wyoming, United States.[3][4] Know one knows why but they both lied about their age. Saying they were both 21.

When 1950 rolls around, Geneva (age 25) was the wife of Emery Tetschner and in Twin Falls, Twin Falls, Idaho, United States.[5]
Geneva passed on 11 March 2003 in Nampa, Canyon, Idaho, United States, and was buried near her brother Robert "Bob" Murphy in Twin Falls, Twin Falls, Idaho, United States.[6] Her headstone can be seen here.[7]She died at age 78.[8]
