Robert was born on the 24th August 1890 in Monifieth, Forfarshire Scotland. His mother's maiden name was Heron.[1][2]
In the 1891 Scottish census Robert (age 7mo) was the son of Patrick T Mudie in The Hollies, Broughty Ferry, Monifieth, Angus.[3]
