Priscilla Moyer married Isaac Risser [sic-Rieser/Reeser] on 4 Feb. 1844, same church where she was baptised (p.380); their first child, Amanda, b. 4 June 1845, was baptized there on 3 May 1846, sp. Katy Zerbe. Isaac and Priscilla had five children. Isaac Rieser and Priscilla Moyer were the parents of my great-grandmother, Mary Ann Rieser, who was born in 1847 in Berks County, Pennsylvania, and married in St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Reading in 1864 to the Irish stone mason John Anderson. They subsequently moved to New York City. When she died in 1937, her parents’ names were given on her death certificate, and these were subsequently verified by church and census records in Berks County, Pennsylvania.

DEATH OF MRS. PRISCILLA SNYDER. (summary)
She had three surviving children by her first husband, Isaac Reeser: Mary Anderson, widow of John, of New York City [my great-grandmother]; Rebecca Miller, widow of Rev David Miller, Bellflower, MO; and William Reeser, living in Mausdale, Montour County, Pennsylvania. The obit also mentions three stepchildren and a stepbrother. She died at the home of her stepdaughter, Hannah Boyer, wife of Thomas, after many years of being confined to the house by severe arthritis. She had been an active member of the First United Evangelical Church in Reading. The obituary also contains the information that there was a stepbrother, Henry Gesey, residing in Lebanon. ^[1]
