Mercy was born in 1878. She was the daughter of Alvin Mott and Lydia MacDonald. She passed away in 1962.
The Moncton Daily Times - Jan 3, 1963 Sussex - The death of Mrs Mercy Belding of Fox Hill, occurred at the home of her daughter, Mrs Charles Hebert, Fox Hill, following a lengthy illness. She was a daughter of Joseph and Lydia (MacDonald) Mott, of Belyeas Cove, Queens Co., and was a life long member of the United Baptist Church at Belyeas Cove. Twice married, she leaves to mourn her second husband Charles Belding of Millstream; two sons, Joseph Craft, Sussex and Manford Craft, Torrington, CT; four daughters, Mrs Bliss Darling and Mrs Vernon Belding of Pleasant Ridge, Mrs Spargo Belding, Portsmouth, NH and Mrs Charles Hebert, Fox Hill; two brothers, Domville Mott, Belyeas Cove and Calvin Mott, Detroit; one sister, Mrs Marcus Mott, Keirsteadville; 25 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren. Her first husband Arnold P Craft predeceased her in 1921.
