Mary was born in 1916. She passed away in 2013.
MEDWAY - Mary Agnes (Mosley) Severance, 96, wife of the late Lawrence Severance, passed away June 9, 2013, at a Millinocket hospital. She was born Sept. 14, 1916, in Bar Harbor, daughter of Charles Elbridge Mosley and Mollie (Delargey) Mosley.
Mary graduated in 1933 from Bar Harbor High School and from Castine Normal School in 1935. She then went on to earn a master's degree from the University of Maine, Orono. Mary's first job was at Bryce School, Lakeview Plantation. Over her 34 year career, she also taught in Alexander, Mattawamkeag, Winn and East Millinocket. Mary was an active member of the Daughter's of the American Revolution and Medway Senior Citizens.
She is survived by daughter, Jacqueline Francis-Madore and husband, John Madore, of Tilley, New Brunswick; son, Lawrence Michael Severance and wife, Lorna, of Medway; five grandchildren, Cynthia Marshall, Patrick Craig Francis and Candace, Charles Dana Francis, Mary Jennifer Bear and Kevin and Joni Lowell and Scott; grandson-in-law, Calvin Thompson; 10 great-grandchildren, Chance Marshall, Brittany Francis, Alex Francis, Houston Bear, Connor Bear, Michael Lowell, Lauren Lowell, Mikala Thompson, Matthew Thompson, and Kristin Thompson; and great-great-grandson, Cameron Thompson. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by granddaughter, Rhonda Thompson. Interment will be at Grindstone Road Cemetery, Medway. (Bangor Daily News 6/10/2013 & Clay Funeral Home)
